Propose a speaker!
Would you like to hear lectures on topics of your interest from an eminent scientist?
Are there ground-breaking developments that you'd like to hear about?
Are there prominent scientists that you also know as good speakers?
Is any such personality visiting your or any other lab in Scandinavia or Europe so you could invite him/her for a lecture?
Please get in touch with The Svedberg Lecture Series Committee and suggest the names of possible speakers. Your suggestions are most welcome any time but the best possible way to realize them would be to plan in advance and agree to play host for the guest speaker you'd like to invite for The Svedberg Lecture Series. Speakers that are invited into the regular list (once a week - usually Mondays) prior to the start of the coming semester, are financially supported by The Svedberg Lecture Series (see below).
Additional speakers may occasionally be fitted into available space on days other than Mondays. Late speakers can be announced within the frame-work of the series. Contact the committee if you would like to use this opportunity to reach a bigger audience!
If you agree with that this seminar series should continue to maintain its high quality and diversity of interest you should try to influence its content by inviting speakers of high international standard in your area of interest.
This series is one of the few meeting places where scientists from different departments in BMC can engage themselves in discussions on both specialized and broader areas of interest. We'd urge senior scientist to set good examples for their younger colleagues and students by attending and by contributing to an exciting and lively discussion during and after the lecture. Please encourage students and junior faculty members to ask questions and air their opinions for everybody's benefit - no question is too stupid to ask.
